NEW DIRECTION - BE IN A PHOTO BOOK!!!
5th Light Publications is proud to announce plans to put together an officila Book form of, The Printed Image. This will be a 300 page book/240 page "bookzine (large magazine)", that will feature the work of 20 to 25 Photographers. Yes, a Book version and a Mega Mag version. This will allow us to offer the publication at two different prices, allowing those who might not be able to afford the actual book, a copy in some way.
Artist are selected by invite or they can also contact us and of course an open submission will be posted. If you are interested in being considered for Book Two, please email, the2121gallery@hotmail.com
Book Two is looking at a release date of, May/June of 2027. Book sales are via, Amazon and Blurb Books. Unfortunately, the cost of these publications will not come cheap, so please be aware of that.
As usual we will be offering a PDF.
This book project will run along side of our regular magazine publications, with submissions beginning late summer of 2026 with a deadline of Jan/Feb of 2027.

Requirements:
1. Standing theme is...FINE ART. Has to depict an air of refinement. The overall image must be a non personal image. (No eyes to the camera) The want is that the entire scene is the subject, not the model. No eyes to the camera.
2. Nudes are allowed. (nothing considered vulger)
3. Black & White and Color allowed.
4. No AI, No Stock Images, No Overlays. Images can be of heavy edits, but no extended filtering.
5. All work can be vertical or horizontal.
6. Review submissions can be of low dpi, but finish work for presentation must be 300 dpi. Know your editing software.
7. 33 Image submission. 30 images for review and 3 for cover consideration. We will give you notice of how many we use.
8. Proilfe Photo. This is a must with all submissions. Image must be you.
9. Print Releases Required.
10. No text per issue. Artist name will be listed and that 's it. No title to work, no statement. NO WATERMARKS!
11. The Printed Image is a Fine Art Photo Display Book. Keep this in mind. Again, NO WATERMARKS!
12. Cover will be selected by publisher.
13. Cover winner will be notifed within a month of Books release.
14. Submissions must be sent by file share only. Dropbox, WeTransfer, or Google Share, are a few that can be used.

16. The magazine will be printed by Blurb Books and sold through, Amazon and Blurb.
17. Amazon...We have worked the numbers and while it could increase the cost of the book, the exposure for artist could be worth the price.
18. Here is the first step you need to do if interested in being in The Printed Image. Contact us! This can be by IG/Dm, or email. Let us know that you are interested and will be submitting work. That way we get you on the list.
